These are blackout poems based on Rosehill Cemetery’s promotional booklets (released in 1908 and 1924). Sloane deleted text from the booklets until they took on new meanings.
5.5x8.5”, machine-sewn zine. Linocut/Risograph cover art by Anna Wagner. Interior art, including rubbings and impressions taken directly from headstones and monuments at Rosehill by both Sloane and Anna. Printed on speckletone, cover-weight paper, off-white and natural colors.
